Chapter 1:
Jessica drops into the trees just outside Breesport, going hunting for vampires. The vampires are becoming more and more common, even in the months following the destruction of Willowbrook. Her goal is to prevent the same fate to other towns in the area, and she must do so with a level of quiet. She stops by a convenience store to grab a few snacks and drinks.
Chapter 2:
Exiting the convenience store, power dies in the area, and her phone loses signal. Several shooting stars appear in the night sky. The blackness of the night sky has a tinge of deep red, barely noticeable. She kills a dozen other vampires as she makes her way to the encampment. She would jump, but she’s got soda and stuff for Timmy, no need to shake it up or damage the bottles, etc. Back at camp, she talks with Purpose about the power issues, learns that cars, GPS, etc are also down. A light earthquake (which is rare in NY). They make plans to go back out and do a hunt together. Timmy is curious about his mom and whatnot.
Chapter 3:
Jessica and Purpose out on hunt the following night.
Chapter 4:
They encounter a demon, and it tosses them around a bit, but ultimately they kill it.
Chapter 5:
They return to camp, and try to figure out what it was they just ran into earlier, figure that they need to seek out someone near the city of Albany (Malika) who might know more. Purpose had heard of this person now and again over the years, but thought they were a myth. Aint no since in ignoring that anymore. They get into a tussle with a few vampires on the way, as well as a demon or two.
Chapter 6:
They make it to Malika, have a little tussle until she realizes they’re on the same side. They learn about the war cycle with the Hells, Heavens, etc. and how the lands have vastly changed since the last demon war. Malika agrees to join them back to the encampment near Breesport, but tells them they should seek out Atheon. Jessica and Purpose decide against that. They encounter demons again. During the tussle with demons, the aspect half-appears and tries to attack, but isnt formed enough yet.
Chapter 7:
Jessica and the others are galvanized against the Hells as they become certain of what is happening.
Chapter 8:
They get back to the encampment with Malika, minor earthquakes are more common, and explosions can be heard in the distance. They get the encampment prepared to move somewhere more safe. Before, they head to Breesport to investigate.
Chapter 9:
Arrival at Breesport, gunfire and explosions, some military engagements happening.
Chapter 10:
As they are fighting, there’s a huge fucking towering demon thing in the background just walking through the area.
Chapter 11:
Fight with the Aspect. His body isn’t fully on Earth yet, but his aspect still whoops their ass before they have to flee. They run back to the encampment to get everyone moving away, toward Binghamton where Atheon is.
Chapter 12:
The city is in active war, buildings are falling, there are a few explosions, etc. Jessica and the others stop the group out of the way in the woods where they can be relatively safe from the major battles.
Chapter 13:
Jessica, Purpose, and Malika roll into the city, looking for Atheon, but fighting demon after demon.
Chapter 14:
They find Atheon battling demons in the streets, striking down mofo’s with beams of light and shit. He and Malika reconnect a bit before they continue killing demons. Once they find a lull, they come up with a plan to help Jessica become more powerful with her magic.
Chapter 15:
Their new plan is to wait for the Tetrarch to show himself, then strike while the iron is hot. They take on one of the giant demons roaming the land. During the battle, they guide Jessica to using her abilities better.
Chapter 16:
After felling the demon, they move on their plan, heading in the distance of the eternal blood sun. Jessica learns how to harvest blood from enemies using her magic, making it unnecessary to risk going feral ever again.
Chapter 17:
Erie is under heavy assault as the bloodied lakes and rivers explode with hordes of demons. They fight through thick crowds of demons as they move closer to the Tetrarch.
Chapter 18:
Distant, deep echoes of a laugh fill the space around them as buildings collapse and the Earth thunders. Large, brutish demon-hound-horse-things crash forward, attacking the team. The team, after a fraught battle, defeat the new demons, and rush forward.
Chapter 19:
The Tetrarch is within view, but still distant. The mountainous, grotesque demon lumbered through the city. The team begins the climactic fight against the Tetrarch. Victory, but also some losses (Atheon).
Chapter 20:
In the aftermath of the battle, the earth quakes more, and the sounds of wailing and gnashing crashes over the world. Both the blood sun and blood moon hang high in the sky, and dead angels begin to fall from the sky. They rush back to the encampment near Binghamton.
Chapter 21:
Jessica makes sure Timmy and the others are safe, and they make plans to survive whatever is coming. Jessica is immensely powerful with her magic, but it won’t be enough, and she knows it. She will need more.
